Freddy Otello

Venezuelan countertenor Freddy Otello has consistently demonstrated great versatility and vocal mastery in his performances. With an artistic career spanning over 20 years, he has excelled in various disciplines, including theater, dance, singing, instrumentation, production, teaching, and vocal coaching.

From a young age, he mastered a wide range of musical styles—such as salsa, cumbia, tropical music, soul, pop, rock, boleros, and rancheras—but his greatest personal achievement has been mastering bel canto and operatic style during his studies at the Autonomous University of Zacatecas; these genres have remained his lifelong passion.

Currently, he performs at various venues in Puerto Vallarta, most notably La Catrina Cantina, a wonderful venue that has welcomed him for the past three years. Aretha Franklin has been a major influence on her life; he paid tribute to the legend with the show The Queen of Soul, presented at Act2PV.
