Texas Embassy Blues Band
Friday nights in Old Town Puerto Vallarta, you might see a line of people gathering around 8 p.m. on Basilio Badillo. The good-time seekers are ready to kick off their huaraches, leave their burdens behind, and soak up some classic blues tunes with friends old and new.
For 17 years, the Texas Embassy Blues Band has delivered heartfelt rhythms and melodies of rockinâ blues favorites every Friday night throughout the high season. The live music starts at 8:30 upstairs in Nacho Daddyâs air-conditioned theater, and admission is free.
The crowd comes for some honky-tonkinâ favorites like âYou Can Leave Your Hat Onâ by Joe Cocker. They grab their sweethearts for a romantic swing around the dance floor to âGod Bless the Childâ by Blood, Sweat & Tears, or Ray Charlesâ âGeorgia on My Mind.â When âRide Sally Rideâ from Al Green breaks out, everyoneâs on their feet tapping toes and busting out their cowboy dance moves.
Crooning with soulful emotionârugged, wild, and touchingâSean Moore leads the band as front man and singer. A proud âTexican,â Moore is also the well-known co-owner of Nacho Daddy. Joining him on guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards is a line-up of top instrumentalists from around the bay. Occasionally, youâll even be wowed by a saxophone solo.
If youâre feeling more laid-back, take in the show from above in the theater balcony. The friendly, bilingual, and good-looking staff will happily serve your food and drinks right to your seat.
The original band brings Texas blues to lifeâbigger, bolder, and betterâthanks to the theaterâs top-quality professional sound and lighting system.
