Mexico Independence Day Civic and Military Parade

Every year on September 16th the main streets and avenues of Puerto Vallarta host a civic and military parade celebrating  the Independence of Mexico. The following is from 2024. We expect the times and road closures to be similar for 2025. Date: September 16 Time: Starts at 8:30 a.m. Route: 1. Begins at the intersection of Morelos and Zaragoza streets. 2. Marches north along Morelos Street. 3. Proceeds through Galeana Street and up the Malecón to 31 de Octubre Street. 4. Follows Av. México and concludes at Venezuela Street.

Road Closures Starting at 7:00 AM Perú Street will be closed at its intersection with Panamá Street. Public transportation will be rerouted onto Colombia Street. Morelos Street will be closed at Corona Street. Traffic will be diverted to Juárez Street, which will temporarily operate as a two-way road up to Agustín Rodríguez Street. From Agustín Rodríguez Street, traffic will turn left and then head south via Insurgentes Street to Venustiano Carranza Street.
