Mexico Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day festivities include ceremony at 8:30 a.m. at the Municipal Presidency, followed by the traditional Grito at 11:00 p.m. from the General Secretariat balcony (on Morelos Street near the Malecón). The Vallarta Institute of Culture has planned a festival on September 15th, starting at 6:00 p.m. on the Malecón, in front of the Municipal Presidency. For the 2024 Independence Day celebrations, performances will include: Xiutla Folklore Group, directed by Professor Enrique Barrios Queens from Ixtapa, El Pitillal, Las Juntas, and Las Palmas Memo Rijos Komando Mr (northern band) Violinist from Arcano Mariachi Internacional de México La Sonora Dinamita de Javier Algain
