Matthew Darren: Wild & Wired

Matthew Darren is an accomplished musician, singer-songwriter, actor and producer with a broad range of performance styles. Raised singing in the church, he went on to receive a B.A. in Music and Vocal Performance. He is the Founder and Creative Director of D-Rock Productions, a company dedicated to fostering the development of young performers and bringing art to life through film, music, television, live shows and more.

Matthew has traveled around the globe backing-up Grammy Award winning Israel Houghton, Donnie McClurkin and Mac Powell. He has toured with the UK based A Cappella group, GOBSMACKED!, Post Modern Jukebox and continues to perform internationally with NYC3. He is part of the “American Idol” family, having appeared on Season 10, and has performed on stages around the country from the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, California to Carnegie Hall in New York City. His work as a session singer with Disney Entertainment lead to becoming a featured vocalist in the nightly fireworks show “Happily Ever After” currently showing in DisneyWorld’s Magic Kingdom. He served as the Music Producer for the full length, feature-film BIG EASY QUEENS, which has received several film festival awards both nationally and internationally.

Matthew’s current solo show for the 2024 season, “WILD & WIRED”, is a high-energy, musical journey that tells a rowdy story through today’s most popular songs by various artists such as Dua Lipa, Kenny Loggins, Adele, Tina Turner, Todrick Hall and many others. His MashUp arrangements are set to vibrant video, creating an immersive stage experience that has audiences raving.
