Mexico’s Independence Day (Fiestas Patrias)

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day in Puerto Vallarta with an evening filled with music, dance, and Mexican traditions on September 15. The festivities begin at 6:30 PM with DJ Zuar, accompanied by a lively batucada and a performance by a pre-Hispanic dance group. At 7:30 PM, Ballet Folklórico Cuauhtémoc and Mariachi Internacional Real de América take the stage, showcasing the music and colorful traditions of Mexico. The mariachi continues at 8:30 PM, followed by Grupo Caché at 9:30 PM.

The evening reaches its patriotic climax at 11:00 PM with the Grito de Independencia at City Hall, the traditional celebration commemorating Mexico’s declaration of independence. At 11:30 PM, head to the Malecón for a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky. The celebration continues into midnight with a performance by Banda Vallejo, keeping the music and festivities going into the early hours.
