HIV and a Kiss, a Spanish-language play by Edgar Treviño, comes to the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center to remind us that resilience, affection, and friendship have always been our greatest strength.
SynopsisIn the 1980s, the first cases of AIDS appeared. Ignorance and intolerance spread throughout society. Homosexuals were stigmatized simply for being different—stoned, insulted, and even killed. The Church closed its doors to the community, and hospitals denied them care.
