To close out July, Friday Conversations returns to The Living Room Bookstore in Marina Vallarta on July 31 at 11:00 am — and this one is going to be fascinating.
In Mexico, every new doctor is required to complete one year of social service before they can begin practicing. They have no say in where they're sent — it could be a major city hospital or a tiny village deep in the mountains, with minimal supplies, minimal medications, and minimal pay. We've invited two or three doctors who lived through some truly challenging (and occasionally hilarious) moments during their year of service, and they're ready to share.
