Born and raised in the charming town of Mascota, Chef Roman Ventura is deeply proud of his roots. Driven by his passion for travel, love of Mexican culture, and pride in the nation’s diverse cuisine, he has crafted a two-day adventure inviting guests to explore the region’s rich flavors, traditions, and beauty.

This immersive experience takes you on a journey through the neighboring towns of Mascota and Talpa de Allende, both designated as Pueblos Mágicos by the Mexican government for their enchanting qualities. Just two hours from Puerto Vallarta, these towns offer the perfect escape for travelers seeking authentic Mexican culture.

Guided by Chef Roman, this carefully curated adventure blends the region’s history, natural beauty, and spiritual heritage with culinary delights that will engage all your senses. With a focus on local food and drink, every moment is designed to leave a lasting impression. The experience is limited to 8 to 14 guests; participants must be at least 18.

11:00 am Raicilla del Ciervo MX – Tour, Tasting & Barbecue

1:15 pm Depart for Mascota

1:45 pm Walking Tour Mascota

4:45 pm Check into Hotel/Free Time

6:30 pm Chef Ventura Dinner at Ventura Comer & Beber

8:45 pm Raicilleria Mexico (After Dinner Drink – Optional)

Day 2

8:15 am Depart hotel

8:30 am Breakfast, La Salida, by Lourdes Cázares, chef’s aunt

9:15 am Depart for Talpa de Allende

9:45 am Walking Tour Talpa de Allende

11:45 am Depart for Mascota

12:30 pm Lunch, Ventura Comer & Beber, by Mauric Ventura, chef’s sister

1:30 pm Depart Mascota

3:45 pm Arrive in Puerto Vallarta

Tour Includes:

Round-trip transportation from a central meeting place in PV

1-night hotel, double occupancy, room rate and tax, no incidentals

Walking tours of Talpa de Allende and Mascota

One breakfast, two lunches

Guests will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van with a driver. Restroom stops will occur along the way, and water will be available onboard. Hotel accommodations in Mascota are within walking distance of the central plaza.

Guests are encouraged to bring a small overnight bag, dress casually, and pack comfortable walking shoes with a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Evenings can be cool, so a light jacket or sweater is recommended.

Guests must be able to walk on uneven surfaces for up to two hours during the walking tours.
